The port of Genoa was one of the first ports in Europe in the seventeenth century where coffee arrived from the Arabian Peninsula. Coffee is also known as “wine of Arabia”. The inhabitants roasted and prepared the drink that was also used as a medicine. Even today, Genoa is one of the most important coffee ports in Europe. The Elixir by Caffè S. The lemons used in this liqueur come from farms located near the Caffo Distillery and are processed on the same day of harvest. To obtain Limunì Limoncello only the most aromatic part of the fruit, that is the yellow part of the rind (epicarp) is used. It is infused in neutral alcohol.
